Layz Motor is a highly reputable and well-known workshop and retail specialist catering to the Big Bike (Moge) and premium sportbike community across Indonesia.

For years, Layz Motor has positioned itself as more than just a parts supplier; they are a destination for performance enthusiasts, offering comprehensive customization services and a curated selection of genuine, high-performance parts. Layz Motor is an authorized dealer for premium global brands, including but not limited to Ohlins (Suspension), Akrapovic (Exhaust System), Pirelli (Tires), and Kabon (Carbon Parts).

Their core clientele consists of owners of popular big bike models such as the Kawasaki ZX series, Yamaha R series, Ducati Panigale, and Honda CBR, who seek top-tier modifications, from performance upgrades to aesthetic enhancements.

Layz Motor is a trusted name among Big Bike (Moge) enthusiasts in Indonesia and an authorized dealer for premium brands (Ohlins, Akrapovic, etc.).

Previously, Layz Motor relied heavily on third-party marketplaces (Tokopedia, Shopee), which presented significant challenges:

  1. High Operational Costs: Excessive admin fees and commissions charged by marketplaces significantly cut into profit margins.

  2. Lack of Customer Database: Operating solely on marketplaces meant Layz Motor did not own any customer data, making retargeting, personalized marketing, and loyalty program development impossible.

  3. Limited Control: Marketplace storefronts restricted the brand’s ability to fully represent its premium image.

Project Goal: To create an independent e-commerce platform that drastically reduces operating costs, secures transaction and customer data, and elevates the brand image.

Folkastudio selected WooCommerce (the e-commerce platform for WordPress) for its flexibility, scalability, and, crucially, its ability to enable full data ownership.

 

1. Full Data Capture & Customer Database Foundation

 

  • Standalone Database: We built an e-commerce structure where all customer data and transaction history (checkout details) are stored 100% on Layz Motor’s server. This immediately solved the problem of a missing customer database.

  • Strategic Asset: The collected data is now a new strategic asset for Layz Motor, allowing for future email marketing and loyalty programs that were previously inaccessible on marketplaces.

 

2. Operational Integration

 

  • Payment Gateway: Integration with leading local Payment Gateways to process high-value transactions securely, instantly, and professionally (credit cards, virtual accounts, e-wallets).

  • Real-Time Shipping Calculation: Implementation of an integrated logistics module allowing customers to check real-time shipping costs (cek ongkir) directly on the checkout page, enhancing transparency and reducing cart abandonment.

 

3. Premium Design & Advanced Catalog

 

  • Premium UI/UX: The site’s design was created to be clean and dynamic, matching the high-performance image of Layz Motor’s products.

  • Filtering System: Implementation of advanced filtering functions based on Motorcycle Brand (Kawasaki, Ducati, etc.) and Part Category, ensuring Big Bike buyers can quickly find specific products.

The implementation of the Layz Motor e-commerce site by Folkastudio achieved a significant impact:
